Seattle - Fourth of July Weekend
July, 2002
Thursday

Neil and Stacy visited friends and family in Seattle over the Fourth of July Weekend this year. We were there from Wednesday, July 3rd through Sunday, July 7th, and I have pictures from Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Here they are, arranged in roughly chronological order and divided into a page for each day for your image-loading convenience.

We stayed with our friends Eda and Glen. When we arrived Wednesday evening, we found a beautiful bouquet of flowers grown in Eda's garden in our guest room, and a mysterious white box. The box contained a bridal gift for Stacy - a gorgeous purse that Eda had hand-beaded for Stacy to carry with her wedding gown. The photo shows some, but not all, of the exquisite detail. Stacy swooned. In the background, you can see one of Eda's huge collection of stuffed animals.

Thursday, after a big breakfast at a pancake restaurant, Neil, Glen, Eda, and I drove over to Soula and Kevin's house in Kirkland. Glen and Eda are sitting on Soula's lovely new sofa; Kirby is in the background.

Here is Soula and Kevin's lovely, well-mannered new dog, Hannah, stretched out in their meadow-like back yard. You can see a corner of Soula's garden in the background. Neil and Kevin sitting in front of Soula and Kevin's fireplace.
A closeup of Hannah. Isn't she a pretty doggie? Soula in a characteristically excited pose and Kevin looking amused in front of their fireplace.
